Drum and bass pioneer Goldie has joined the line-up for the second edition of Buckinghamshire’s Stowaway Festival as the Saturday night headliner on August 19th. This follows the sad news that the legendary Roy Ayers has had to cancel his remaining European shows and will no longer be performing at this year’s Stowaway.
A message from Roy Ayers: “Hello to all my fans. Unfortunately, due to health complications stemming from a recent bout with Covid-19, I will be cancelling upcoming performances for 2023. We had high hopes I would recover in time, but all parties involved believe this is the best course of action for now. Once I have had proper time to heal and move past this, I will be looking to get back to work.”

An emerging festival for ‘true ravers, new ravers and little ravers’, Stowaway seeks to deliver the perfect weekend antidote to the trappings of the modern world. This year’s music line-up includes the performers & DJs (billed A-Z): Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy, Crazy P Soundsystem, Dan Shake, David Rodigan, Eats Everything, Easy Star All Stars, Goldie, House Gospel Choir, Irvine Welsh, Jamz Supernova, Joe Goddard, Little Dragon, Todd Edwards, Tom Ravenscroft plus many, many more. The Comedy Stage will be headlined by one of Britain’s biggest and best-loved comedy stars, Jack Dee, who will be joined by Lou Sanders and Jessica Fostekew, plus many more to be announced.
Stowaway also offers wild swimming and canoeing, wellness & relaxation, kid’s activities (all included in the ticket price), a woodland spa, and artisan food will be available from Seven Lucky Gods, Yardbirds, The Patty Freaks, La Cantina, La Levantina, Enak, Kebab Kartel, Filili Eats, La Pizzeria, Raw Boys Oysters, Lola’s Ices, Los Churros Amigos, The Bourneville Waffle Co. & Carnival Coffee. There will be craft ales from Cornwall’s Harbour Brewing Co, Stanford Devon Red Cider and Saxby’s Cider, Liberation Cocktails, Warners Gins, Hard Seltzer, excellent wine & spirit offerings and plenty of no & low alcohol options.
