Album Review : Millie Manders & The Shutup – Wake Up, Shut Up, Work

 

Wow, what an album! It’s the ideal follow-up to their debut album, *Telling Truths, Breaking Ties*, which was released four years ago. From the very first listen, you’ll find yourself hooked. The songs are infused with even more emotion and anger, a hallmark of some of the greatest classic albums over the decades. This album strikes all the right chords, evoking the same feelings you experience when watching the band perform live.

The album kicks off with the electrifying track “Angry Side,” which was recently released as a single. This song sets the tone perfectly for the entire album and serves as an excellent entry point for new listeners who may not be familiar with the band’s unique sound. The infectious energy and catchy chorus of “Angry Side” will have you singing along before you even realize it.

Following this dynamic opener is “Shut Your Mouth,” a powerful song that delves into the complexities of toxic relationships.
