Ascendant soul singer and BBC Sound of 2020 winner Celeste shares two hefty remixes of her latest single ‘Stop This Flame,’ from celebrated US DJ and producer The Black Madonna and rising London via Leeds duo Prospa.

Prospa work their euphoric breakbeat magic with chopped vocals and metallic synths taking the track to new heights, while The Black Madonna adds tribal percussion and lush strings for a signature up tempo stomper.

“In essence, Stop This Flame is a song about seeing it through to the end,” Celeste revealed upon the single’s release. “Whether it’s about not letting go of love, not letting go of a dream or stridently coming through some form of adversity. The song has always evoked those feelings within me.”

Following her Sound Poll win the British-Jamaican artist continued her winning streak with a performance at the 2020 BRIT Awards in celebration of her Rising Star award, a spell-binding rendition which drew praise from the likes of Stormzy, Finneas and Billie Eilish.

Celeste’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire date has been rescheduled for 11th August, and follows a triumphant trio of intimate performances at Omeara last autumn. The latter garnered a five star review from NME who hailed the emerging artist a once-in-a-generation talent … the finest British soul singer to emerge in years,” continuing, “If there’s any justice, super-stardom is just around the corner.”
