Glasgow was thrilled to host Paloma Faith on her UK tour of The Glorification of Sadness. The Armadillo, located on the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow, was the ideal venue for her performance. Fans lined up outside, eagerly waiting to enter the seated show. Despite there being no opening act, the crowd was still eager to see Paloma Faith perform her two sets.
The excitement in the building was electric as the announcement echoed through the venue, signalling the start of the show in five minutes. The electric atmosphere inside grew as the lights dimmed, and the band and backing singers took the stage. The intro music set the stage for Paloma’s entrance, with the spotlight focusing on the small, ramped catwalk. As the spotlight shifted to the rear of the stage, Paloma made her grand entrance to Glasgow, opening the show with the crowd favourite “How You Leave a Man.” As she performed on the walkway, the audience sang along, connecting with the Glasgow audience.
The opening in Glasgow was fantastic; after the opening song, it was an energetic performance of “God in a Dress” and “Bad Woman” that had the audience up on their feet singing and dancing with Paloma. She moved across the stage, engaging with the crowd and smiling at them. Some standout songs from the first set were “Already Broken,” “Hate When You’re Happy,” and “Enjoy Yourself,” which had everyone singing along. It was clear that Paloma was thoroughly enjoying every moment of the show in Glasgow.
As she reached the end of the first set, she continued to captivate the audience with her performance. She impressed them with songs like “Eat Shit and Die,” “Let It Ride,” and closed with “Sweatpants,” leaving the Glasgow audience in awe. Both Paloma and the audience took a much-needed break after the fantastic first set.
After a brief twenty-minute intermission, it was time for the second set. The lights dimmed as Paloma returned to the stage, sporting a new blonde hairdo and outfit. However, her performance remained top-notch as she kicked off with Stone Cold Sobe, getting the crowd dancing and singing along to Picking Up the Pieces in the aisles.

Standout moments from the second set included performances of Upside Down, Gold, and the infectious Can’t Rely on You.
