It’s now just 6 weeks until Buckinghamshire’s biggest music festival PennFest returns for its twelfth edition with its most impressive line-up yet – and tickets are selling fast!

A two-day festival with optional camping, PennFest is held in picturesque countryside near the village of Penn Street – just 26 miles from central London.

PennFest will this year be headlined by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds – their first UK live performance of 2023 and first since the release of brilliant new album ‘Council Skies’ – on Friday July 21st and Bastille on Saturday July 22nd in a fantastic multi-genre line-up which has something for every music lover. Weekend tickets from £100 / day tickets from £55 (+ booking fee), check pennfest.co.uk/tickets for details.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will be preceded by guitar legend Johnny Marr and Supergrass frontman / Mercury Prize-nominated solo artist Gaz Coombes. Appearing ahead of Bastille’s headline set the following evening will be Corinne Bailey Rae, DJ Fresh and Embrace. Also appearing over the weekend are Craig Charles (It’s Not A Funk Soul Show), Not3s, Wes Nelson, DJ Luck & MC Neat, The Artful Dodger, The Cuban Brothers, Bad Manners and many, many more.

Since forming in 2011, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have released three No.1 studio albums and a No.1 Best Of (2021’s ‘Back The Way We Came’), whilst establishing themselves as an incredible touring band and festival headline act. They recently released their critically acclaimed fourth studio album ‘Council Skies’, described as “a belting reminder of why Oasis was so great” by The Times in their five-star review. ‘Council Skies’ features long-time friend and collaborator – and fellow PennFest 2023 performer – Johnny Marr on guitar on three tracks including ‘Pretty Boy’, while Milly Alcock (House Of The Dragon) stars in the official video for ‘Easy Now’.

2023 marks the tenth anniversary of Bastille’s million-selling, twice UK No.1 debut album, ‘Bad Blood’, which featured the international hit ‘Pompeii’. Bastille became 2013’s biggest-selling global breakthrough act, winning the British Breakthrough Act award at the 2014 Brits and receiving two Grammy Award nominations. Last year, they released their brilliant fourth album ‘Give Me The Future’, which gave Bastille another UK No.1.

Since launching in 2011, PennFest has grown from humble beginnings as a village festival attracting 2,000 people into a hugely respected fixture on the UK festival circuit, attracting internationally renowned artists and a daily capacity crowd of 10,000 year after year.

PennFest offers much more than just an impressive array of performers across its four stages. The site has been intelligently curated with high quality food and drink, shops and activities. There is a global artisan market with a selection of arts based stalls and creative workshops, plus multiple bars and a wide range of quality food outlets, selling dishes from around the world.

Camping will be available on site from Friday July 21 –Sunday July 23, offering the perfect opportunity to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Chilterns. There are free hot showers in the camping area, as well as glamping and pre-pitched tents.
