On-demand and live streaming service LIVENow has announced it will host a new four-part series, LIVE FROM ANOTHER WORLD, featuring four of the country’s most cutting-edge musicians – SQUID, GRIFF, GREENTEA PENG and BLACK COUNTRY, NEW ROAD.
Episode one features alt-rock band SQUID, who throw viewers into a warped, contorted A/V experience of their creation, with bespoke visuals soundtracked by their unique brand of experimental rock. Watch the trailer and sign up for all four performances, which are free to view, here:

Meteoric rise would be an understatement for the Bristol-based five-piece SQUID. Their punchy, post punk sound and eye-catching aesthetic quickly found the band a devoted audience, soon followed by universal critical acclaim. Produced by Dan Carey (Fontaines DC, Black Midi) their debut album, BRIGHT GREEN FIELD drew widespread praise from fans and critics alike. Their episode includes an appearance from Dan Carey and long-time collaborator Martha Skye Murphy. Expect a one-of-a-kind performance steeped in surreal visuals and boundary-pushing production devised by the band.
LIVE FROM ANOTHER WORLD is a new concept for live music. The series is powered by themes of escapism and hope, harnessing each act’s unique approach to performance and production. Detached from the alienation of modern life, expect to be transcended beyond the typical, where the lines of immersion and consumption are blurred beyond recognition.
