NEW SINGLE : Indigo Eyes returns with the sweeping new single ‘Where Were You’ out today

INDIGO EYES RETURNS WITH THE SWEEPING NEW SINGLE ‘WHERE WERE YOU’ OUT MAY 11TH

Following on from the release of his brilliant EP ‘Close To You’ at the end of last year, which garnered support from the likes of This Song Is Sick, Wonderland and Spotify’s New Music Friday Germany playlist, emerging producer Joseph Robson aka Indigo Eyes now returns to deliver his tantalising new single ‘Where Were You‘.

Much like what he showcased on his most recent collection, ‘Where Were You’ sees him unleash his flair for warm and atmospheric electronic compositions. Creating this smooth and enticing aura from start to finish, his newest release continues his pursuit of captivating intentions and gives us a pure insight into what he has planned throughout this new year.

Speaking about the single, he said, “Over the winter period this year I got really into deep house, likely because I was missing clubbing, but also because it weirdly helped me study for my exams, which definitely inspired this track a huge amount. I had it in an almost finished state for months with the feeling it needed just one more thing but I couldn’t put my finger on it, then one day I went to my piano and played the melody you hear half way through the track in one take and I knew that’s what I was looking for!”

Since the release of his debut EP, Indigo Eyes has also been busy on the remix circuit. Adding his take to the Kehina cut ‘All Over Again’, as well as reworking Joe Hertz’s ‘Colourblind’, which has since racked up more than 145k streams on Spotify alone.

Indigo Eyes is the alias of electronic artist Joseph Robson from London, England. Starting out with childhood lessons in a number of instruments he gradually became a bedroom producer with a deep fascination in dance music and the UK house scene, with influences among the likes of Disclosure, AlunaGeorge, and SG Lewis.

After first discovering his love for electronic music at the age of 15 when he snuck into a Martin Garrix performance in Ibiza, he is showing a level of diversity and imagination far beyond his years. Coupling smooth and ethereal tones with shuffled beats and seductive grooves has given him an original and driven style that many are quickly beginning to take notice of.

Following on from this, his production style consists of warm synths and soul-oriented guitar melodies. Being a long time fan of the singer-songwriter duo ‘Oh Wonder,’ a chance encounter with their dog sitter led to an opportunity for him to develop a relationship with the duo and remix ‘Lose It,’ a fan favourite track of theirs, which, in addition to various other remixes and instrumentals, helped Joseph grow an online fan base long before his first commercial release.

Following this, he was then discovered by SG Lewis on an Instagram live in the summer of 2020, in which early demos of his music were premiered to a live audience. This led to a number of collaborative opportunities, along with praise from SG Lewis himself.

2020 saw the release of his debut EP ‘Close To You’, which demonstrated his eclectic sound through a set of four diverse tracks, featuring collaborations from up and coming artists ‘De Rien’ and Georgie O’Brien’ along with the already well established ‘LissA.’ With lots of incredible new music on the horizon, Indigo Eyes looks set to become the next big name to emerge from the electronic producer scene.
