SHARES NEW TRACK “DOWNRIGHT” – OUT TODAY!
Straight off the back of this week’s sold-out BBC Radio 1 ‘Jack Saunders Presents…’ London Omeara live show, which itself follows a sold-out debut UK tour (4500+ tickets sold), Manchester singer-songwriter Pip Millett unveils a new track today titled “Downright”.
The new track is produced by Eg White and Fred Cox, along with a KC Locke (Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, AJ Tracey, Mahalia) directed music video.
Amidst whimsical production, Pip pairs sombre sonics with chillingly relatable lyricism – it’s a stark and emotionally charged look at depression, but her unwavering braveness and vulnerability normalises the regular occurrence of down times.
The “Downright” video delves into the day-to-day struggles we have in terms of mental health (and the turmoil brought by some of our relationships), with Pip looking at her own situation from the outside as conflict unfolds.
“Downright” follows the sultry tones of “Ride With Me”, Pip’s first track since the release of her “Motion Sick” EP, which garnered support from the likes of The FADER, The Line of Best Fit, GRM Daily, Dork and more.
