The Decadent Movement are an indie-rock band from the streets of Glasgow with varied influences ranging from The Sex Pistols and The Rolling Stones to The Beatles and The Libertines. Their debut single Glasgow’s Burning laid down the band’s statement of intent. Their lyrics reflect the real life experiences of the band, bringing a rawness that is relatable to so many of their listeners, dealing with issues like addiction, mental health and street life.
For a band born out of the ‘lockdown’, 2021 was full of highlights, none more so than performing at the Barrowlands, Glasgow alongside Hipsway. It put the band firmly on the Scottish map and 2022 will see them release their debut EP Memories Of A Blackout.
Bring Me Down is the first single to be released from the aforementioned EP and will be out on Friday 18th February.
“Bring Me Down portrays the world we live in today, where people are quick to judge others without thinking of the effects their words and actions can have on a person. No matter how a person may be behaving, there is always a reason for their actions and we should try and be more understanding ”
