Tradmrkd Alternative rock band from the North East of Scotland
Tell us about yourself.
When did the band start?
The current line-up of the band began in 2018 with Corey Finnie, James Riddoch, Finlay Cardno and Eddie Flinn. The band officially started in 2014
Where are you from?
We are all from Aberdeenshire, dotted about between Fraserburgh and Peterhead. Our main base for meeting and jamming is in a small village called Strichen. We hope to move to Aberdeen in the near future.
How did you start?
The band was mainly a muck around with mates; just enjoying playing music and sounding terrible with no care. Eddie and Finlay were the original members and decided that they wanted to try and see how far they could go as a band. Corey went to the same school as Eddie and Finlay, James went to college with Finlay so the band took shape and is now set.
What style of music do you class yourselves as?
The best way to describe our sound is pop punk or to be general east bay punk back in the 90s. we get told that we have a Green Day vibe to our sound.
Who are the biggest bands influences?
As a band, we have similar tastes in music and influences. From, Green Day, The Smiths, Ramones, Blink 182, Guns N Roses and the Buzzcocks.
Are you signed to a record label?
Currently, we are signed to no one.
Plans for the year.
What are the bands plans for this year?
This year has been a bit up in the air for the band. The summer had many shows on the cards and some projects being lined up with other bands. Unfortunately, nothing is clear for this year, but we remain positive. If not this year then 2021 will be a huge year for Tradmrkd.
Do you have any tours booked?
We have no tours booked yet but hopefully some exciting stuff soon.
New releases?
All we have released are demos on our soundcloud. So, we release new material every few months.
Where do you hope to see yourself in 12 months’ time (realistic)?
We would love to have either an EP or an album out within this time frame. Also, hopefully we would have had a few more shows under our belt and maybe a tour. I want this next year to be the best for the band.

Questions to close with.
What can people expected from your stage show if they are coming to see you live?
A lot of energy, pure punk sound and just tons of fun. If they go away from the gig bored, then we haven’t done our job. That’s a money back guarantee; well more of a metaphorical one.
Give us one word that you would describe your band?
Tight
If there was one sentence that would relate to your band as a selling point what would it be?
Resuscitating punk, one song at a time.
Lastly, tell us your ambitions for the next 12 months?
To get an EP release and play as many shows as possible. Hopefully get at least one tour in during this period. We are very optimistic about some of the projects we have lined up for the future.
