SPIELBERGS share new single Listen to This Is Not The End

Earlier this Autumn, as Spielbergs kicked-off their biggest ever UK headline tour, the band announced that new material would be arriving in the shape of forthcoming EP Running All The Way Home. The EP’s title track was swift to follow, and showcased the band at their triumphant best – condensing the mood of an entire world into a four-minute, adrenaline-shot thrill-ride.

Today the band are sharing another new track, This Is Not The End. Sharing the same name as their critically acclaimed breakthrough album, This Is Not The End sees the band embrace their heavier influences, walking us further into the darker side of their material. The band’s beloved fists-in-the-air anthemia again sits front and centre but this time – while roaring percussion and ear-splitting guitars fight for attention before collapsing in on themselves – there is a palpable sense of desperation in Mads Baklien’s fevered cries. He explains; “This Is Not The End is a song for all people who have been through some f***** up things in their lives. Don’t listen to voices of negativity, be it your own or others’. Don’t wait for someone else to make things better. Don’t give up. Just get up and keep going.”

More about Spielbergs

Beating an intense, heavy path in the mould of Japandroids, Dinosaur Jr., Trail of Dead, Titus Andronicus and No Age, their ability to marry the soaring and uplifting with the dark and gloomy – forever bound by their strong sense of melody – has become something of a calling-card for the band, as have their knock-out live shows.

Spielbergs are:

Mads Baklien (guitar, vocals, synth)
Stian Brennskag (bass)
Christian Løvhaug (drums)
