Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have announced a live performance at Bournemouth O2 Academy, taking place on 18th March 2024.

The show is part of a series of warm-up gigs at some of the UK’s most intimate venues – recently announced live dates at Poole Lighthouse (17th March) and Portsmouth Guildhall (20th March) both sold out immediately – and will arrive ahead of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds returning to the Royal Albert Hall to perform for Teenage Cancer Trust; a full circle moment after Noel played at the charity’s very first event back in 2000.

Tickets for the Bournemouth O2 Academy show go on-sale from 22nd February at 09:00 GMT here.

This announcement arrives ahead of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ massive summer touring plans. Headlining both Kendal Calling and Y Not Festival in August, Noel will also perform huge outdoor headline gigs at Wigan’s Robin Park (Thursday 18th July), London’s Alexandra Palace Park (Saturday 20th July) and Warwick Castle (Sunday 21st July), as well as returning to Cardiff Castle (Wednesday 17th July) and an already sold out The Piece Hall at Halifax (Thursday 1st August) after sold-out shows at these venues in 2022. Last remaining tickets are available here.

Fans can look forward to sets including a wide selection of Oasis classics, as well as a cross section of material from the past dozen years of Noel Gallagher’s highly successful career as a solo artist with his band, the High Flying Birds.

The newly announced shows will mark Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ first live performances after their triumphant run of UK arena dates in December. These arena shows provided a huge finale to 2023 after touring across three continents, a mammoth 26-date tour of North America and epic UK headline outdoor gigs including Crystal Palace Bowl, Brighton Beach and more, all in celebration of the release of Noel’s fourth solo studio album, ‘Council Skies’. The summer culminated with the band’s biggest ever headline gig to date, a massive homecoming show at Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park on August Bank Holiday weekend.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ latest live performances have been described as “emotional and thrilling” by the BBC, “typically legendary” by the Daily Mirror, “effortlessly brilliant” by CLASH, “heroic” by the Evening Standard, whilst The i newspaper confirmed, “Noel Gallagher’s gonna live forever”.

‘Council Skies’ has been widely regarded by fans and media as Noel’s most complete solo statement to date. The album includes ‘Open The Door, See What You Find’, ‘Pretty Boy’, ‘Easy Now’, and recent single ‘We’re Gonna Get There In The End’. The album has received widespread critical acclaim and was featured in several Albums Of The Year lists including the likes of MOJO and Rolling Stone UK.

‘Council Skies’ is available now on CD, heavyweight vinyl with bonus 7”, LP picture disc plus various digital formats including a Dolby Atmos spatial audio version. All ‘Council Skies’ formats are available here.
