Simple Minds today announce they will play a major headline show at Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park on Friday 27^th June 2025, as part of Glasgow Summer Sessions.

The Scottish band return to their hometown for what will be their biggest UK headline show in 34 years, since their Real Life tour in 1991. They will be joined onstage in Glasgow by very special guests Future Islands, KT Tunstall and Hamish Hawk to complete an exceptional line-up.

Following the huge ongoing success of their Global Tour, which kicked off in 2024 and is their largest since 1985, Simple Minds have started announcing new dates for 2025 which include a run of UK & Irish summer 2025 outdoor shows, swiftly followed by several Italian shows, and with more dates across the world still to be announced.

And now the band will kick-off this period of summer 2025 touring with a headline show at Bellahouston Park.

Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr said today, “Simple Minds live in Glasgow, the city that made us, is always a glorious occasion for both band and fans. Live in Bellahouston Park is destined to be all of that and more… It cannot come soon enough!“

Having sold over 60 million albums, and had No.1 hits the world over, not only have Simple Minds become a must-see live act, they have rekindled the magic that made them a vital artistic force in their early days and are regularly referenced by a slew of younger artists. Their most recent and critically acclaimed album ‘Direction of the Heart’ reached No.4 in the UK album chart and was also Top 10 in multiple territories. Reviewing the album, MOJO magazine described the band’s energy as ‘undiminished’ whilst other critics praised the band’s endurance and consistent creativity.
